Delta Airlines is introducing its Reclaim My Status program for previous loyal customers who may have lost their status due to life changes and events that have prevented them from flying. The program allows loyal travelers who have lost their Diamond, Platinum, Gold or Silver Medallion status in the last year due to a “major life event” to get it back for three months for free.
So what counts as a major life event? Delta listed the four scenarios as parental leave, a serious illness or injury, a job or career change, and caregiving—along with getting a degree as potential major life event.
