I’ve spent Bunches of time at Camp Perry and find always find the facilities satisfactory, but I don’t understand is the PX closed EVERY Saturday and Sunday!
We very much enjoyed our stay and visit at Camp Perry. Of particular interest was the historic Ohio French Gratitude Train (Merci Train) boxcar. This car is one of the remaining 43 boxcars of the 49 original boxcars sent to the US, filled with gifts from the French people, in 1949. More information about this car can be found at http://www.mercitrain.org/Ohio. The car is located at Camp Perry. A small collection of the gifts is housed at the Ohio Historical Center in Columbus.
Very poor customer service at the front desk. Do NOT try to stay at Camp Perry during one of these shooting matches. Very poor signage, from the front gate to the check-in reception has a lot of turns and no signs telling the driver where reception/check-in is located.
Ms Parker – We at Military Living are sorry to hear you had trouble finding the lodging office. I called Camp Perry this morning and got precise directions. I’ve added these directions to our Camp Perry Lodging and Conference Center webpage above. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
