My wife and I visited Washington state a few years back, and we stayed at the Navy Lodge at Bangor Naval Base. We traveled all over western Washington and all the way to Westport. In the room we had a kitchen in which we prepared our meals instead of dinning out. We shopped at the base commissary for our food. We did eat at the base Club a few times and had something they called “buzzard wings”. ( I ordered a dozen and they were so big I could not eat all of them.) The Lodge personal were professional and courteous and everyone on base was simply great to us. I did make the reservations about 3 months early for the lodge. Upon arrival we found the room to be clean and well set up. Highly recommend and the next time we are in Washington I will use the lodge again.
Great visit. Was there in late October for about a week. Everything was great, staff helpful and room was excellent.
