This week’s featured military camping location is the Parris Island RV Park, at the Parris Island Marine Corps Recruit Depot in South Carolina!  The Parris Island RV Park is located just minutes from downtown Beaufort, with 18 sites that have full hook-ups for water, sewer and electric (20/30/50 amp).  You’ll find a bathroom and showers available, and coin operated laundry, for the price of $30 daily.  Making reservations is easy, just give them a call!  You can stay here if you are an eligible patron, or if you are a guest of a graduating Marine.

The Parris Island RV Park is close to downtown Beaufort, a little coastal town on Port Royal Island, known for its downtown historic district.  Some things to do in the area include a horse drawn carriage tour, walking city tours,  the Beaufort History Museum, and the Port Royal Cypress Wetlands, among other things.  South Carolina generally has mild winters, sometimes even with temperatures in the low 70s.
