This week’s featured military camping facility is Apache Flats RV Resort, located on Fort Huachuca in Arizona!
Apache Flats RV Resort features 56 spaces with full hookups. You'll also find restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities available for your use. All pull thru RV sites have concrete pads that are 18 feet wide and 55 feet long. Reservations are required and can be made 90 days in advance, and you may stay a max of 60 days Nov 1-Apr 29, and 90 days Apr 30-Sept 30. As a heads up, this is an RV park and not suitable for camping (no tents), car camping or VanLife. Must be certified by the RVIA.
Fort Huachuca offers a stunning views of the Huachuca Mountains! Old mining towns are within a short drive, as well as many “ghost towns” within the inviting communities of Cochise County. Trail rides, majestic views, excellent hiking, many state parks and historic sites as well as unique mining town experiences await!
There are plenty of things to do and see in the surrounding area. Here are some suggestions:
Explore the nearby Coronado National Forest: The Coronado National Forest offers numerous hiking trails, camping sites, and scenic drives. You can explore the forest's unique landscape, which features a mix of desert and mountainous terrain.
