This week’s featured camping & RV getaway is the Barking Sands Beach Cottages in Kauai in the state of Hawaii!
This lodging facility accepts reservations from active duty service members, retirees, and Department of Defense-employed civilians. MWR, NEX, NAF employees, and contractors working on base are also welcome. Reservations can be made up to one year in advance by active duty service members; all other guests can make reservations up to six months in advance.
The Barking Sands Beach Cottages offer 25 cottages total: 12 beachfront cottages, 12 ocean view cottages, and 1 VIP cottage. Cottages are fully furnished, including a washer, dryer, and full kitchen. Dishes, flatware, and cookware are included in all cottages.
Barking Sands is located on the west side of the island of Kauai, at the Barking Sands Pacific Missile Range Facility. Support facilities near the Barking Sands Beach Cottages include an All Hands club, beach, driving range, exchange, outdoor adventure center, and theater. Activities available near the cottages include fishing, golfing, kayaking, swimming, and tennis. The Barking Sands Beach Cottages is a perfect lodging option for those looking for a quiet getaway in a gorgeous area.
