If you're interested in learning about military planes, Simple Flying wrote this fantastic article about the C-5 Super Galaxy, the Air Forces' largest aircraft. It's also one you may have the pleasure of flying on if you happen to catch a Space-A flight with some availability. Here's a brief excerpt, click the link below for the full story!

Simple Flying ~ "The Lockheed Martin C-5 Galaxy family of aircraft consists of the original 'A' model, the 'B' model, the 'C' model, and the 'M' model. Lockheed Martin built 81 'A' models and 50 'B' model planes. All the planes in the fleet (120+) were eventually upgraded to the C-5M Super Galaxy configuration.
Fifty-two planes are still in service, with the remainder of the fleet in long-term storage at the 309th Aircraft Maintenance and Regeneration Group (affectionately known as the 'Boneyard') adjacent to Davis Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ." ~ Simple Flying
