Reservations are accepted from active duty Marines stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Camp Smith up to 4 months in advance; for all others, reservations may be made one month in advance.

The Hale Koa campground has 17 tent spaces available as well.

This camping facility is located right on the ocean. Just steps from the cottages, visitors will find a quiet, small beach called Secret Beach. This beach has very few waves and is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, paddle boarding, and sunbathing.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii, where this campground is located, is in the town of Kailua – a quiet surfing town with a wide variety of small shops and restaurants. This town is about a 30 minute drive from Waikiki for those looking for a change of scenery.
