Kilauea Military Camp, HI | Featured Military Lodging Facility

This week's featured Military camping facility is the Kilauea Military Camp Joint Services Recreation Center, on the Big Island of Hawaii!


This facility accepts reservations from active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, and Department of Defense employed civilians and retirees. Public Health Service employees and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration employees and their sponsored guests are also welcome. Reservations are required, and accepted up to a year in advance.


Available facilities at the Kilauea Military Camp include cottages and apartments. There are 90 one, two and three bedroom apartments and cottages, 1 six bedroom cottage, 1 seven bedroom house, and 1 rank-restricted house. Dormitory rooms, with a shared bathroom, are also available.


The Kilauea Military Camp is situated in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, one of the most popular sightseeing locations in Hawaii. This National Park offers hiking, driving tours, and a unique tour of a former Hawaiian cattle ranch! Opportunities to see unique geographical features and animal species are abound in Volcanoes National Park. Outside of the park, the Big Island is very quiet and relaxed. Visit the Sugarloaf Pineapple Farm, the Na Aina Kai Botanical Garden, or the Wai Koa Loop to enjoy the beautiful nature that Hawaii island has to offer.
