The Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area (LORA) is located in Linn Creek, Missouri, and is one of the largest man-made lakes in the US. Run by the Fort Leonard Wood MWR, Active Duty Military, Retired Military, members of the National Guard and Reserves, DoD employees with ID cards, family members and Fort Leonard Wood contract employees are all welcome to stay.
Here at LORA you'll find various accommodations to fit your needs. Whether you're looking for rustic campsites, RV sites with full or partial hookups, cabins, or barracks, all of these options are great! All units have air conditioning and are winterized. Linens, towels, and washcloths are available. Cabins have TV and a microwave and there is a 24-hr laundry facility. No housekeeping is available so be sure to bring extra towels and sheets as necessary.
All RV pads are cement, with pull-thru and back-in, and can accommodate up to a maximum size of 54'. You also get a picnic table and grill. You have the option for a full hookup site or a partial hookup site.
Lake of the Ozarks provides over 1,150 miles of shoreline - so you'll have fun activities to choose from such as swimming, boating, water skiing, fishing, camping, and more! At the marina, you can rent bass boats, pontoon boats, deck boats, a turbo tube, or a jet ski.
The pet policy here is an additional $50 per night per pet in all lodging facilities and you can incur a charge of up to $100 if there is excessive pet hair left behind, so make sure you clean up after fido if you are staying in a cabin.
