Naval Station Norfolk Air Passenger Terminal is five miles from the Norfolk Navy Lodge. This terminal is considered a central east coast terminal, and has Patriot Express and cargo flights, giving travelers many options and destinations.

  7. Go shopping at MacArthur Center: This indoor shopping mall offers a variety of stores, restaurants, and entertainment options.

  8. Take a day trip to Williamsburg: Visit Colonial Williamsburg, a historic district that recreates life in 18th-century Virginia, or explore the nearby Jamestown Settlement and Yorktown Battlefield.

  9. Go kayaking or paddleboarding: Rent equipment and explore the Elizabeth River, Lake Wright, or other nearby waterways.

  10. Attend a performance at the Harrison Opera House: This historic theater hosts a variety of performances, including opera, ballet, and concerts.

  11. Visit the Norfolk Botanical Garden: This 155-acre garden features over 40 themed gardens, including a rose garden, a sensory garden, and a children's garden.

  12. Take a brewery tour: Norfolk is home to several craft breweries, including O'Connor Brewing Co., Smartmouth Brewing Co., and Wasserhund Brewing Co.

  13. Go fishing: The Elizabeth River and nearby lakes offer excellent fishing opportunities for both beginners and experienced anglers.

  14. Visit the Nauticus National Maritime Center: This science center features interactive exhibits on marine science, maritime history, and the naval base.

  15. Attend a sporting event: Catch a Norfolk Tides baseball game at Harbor Park or a Norfolk Admirals hockey game at the Norfolk Scope Arena.
