Navy Getaways Annapolis, Maryland | Featured Military Lodging Facility

This week's featured Military lodging facility is the Navy Getaways Annapolis in Maryland! Annapolis is just 30 miles from Baltimore and 30 miles from Washington, D.C., making it a great “home base” for those travelers looking to explore the area.


The Navy Getaways Annapolis is open to active duty service members, National Guard service members, reservists, retirees, and dependents. Department of Defense employed civilians are also welcome when traveling on orders. This lodging accepts reservations at any time from those traveling on orders, and up to 30 days in advance from those traveling on a space-available basis.



The Navy Getaways Annapolis hotel is composed of 16 one-bedroom suites. Each suite has two TV’s, one king or queen bed, a living room or sitting area with a sofa. Room sizes vary from 300 to 750 sq. ft, perfect for a couple or small family. Recently opened are also the Cottages at Greenbury Point! There are 16 one-story cottages constructed in 2023. Four cottages are 3-bedroom/2-bath units and twelve cottages are 2-bedroom/1 bath units. The 2-bedroom cottages are separately rented duplex units with a connecting door.



All guests at the Navy Getaways Annapolis are welcome to enjoy access to the Naval Academy Club for the duration of their stay, as well as a 15% discount at the fine dining restaurant housed in the club. Pets are permitted at this facility, given a $20 per night fee. Seasonal availability can be difficult to come by in the Summer. The availability for the Navy Getaways in Annapolis is best from October to April, so now is a great time to take a trip and stay in this cozy lodging.


Annapolis is an ideal destination for those looking for a getaway with options. Head into D.C. or Baltimore for a day trip, or stay in Annapolis to enjoy the small town. Foodies, enjoy a historic Annapolis Food Tour, or a Chesapeake Region Wine Tour. History buffs can view the Maryland State House in the heart of Downtown Annapolis, take a guided tour at the William Paca House and Garden, or visit the Big Brice House-reported to be one of the most haunted sites in Maryland. And of course, if you want to spend a vacation on the water, the Chesapeake Bay surrounds Annapolis. Charter a boat or just enjoy from the shore!
