Navy Lodge in Monterey to Expand and Renovate Its Lobby

Press Release by NEXCOM Public Affairs 8-16-18

Navy Lodge Monterey, Calif., will undergo a $2.4 million renovation and expansion of its lobby. The renovation includes a 1, 380 sq. ft. expansion of the lobby area that will create a breakfast and reception area and an outdoor relaxation zone. The new floorplan takes the lobby from a place of transaction to a place of relaxation and interaction for guests. The expansion/renovation is expected to be completed in Summer 2019.

“We want Navy Lodge Monterey to be our guests’ first choice when looking for a place to stay when away from home, either on permanent change of station orders, vacation or on a business trip,” said Mike Bockelman, Vice President, Navy Exchange Service Command’s (NEXCOM) Navy Lodge Program. “Navy Lodge modernizations have evolved based on our guest needs and their desire for a more flexible space to work and relax.”
