New Boston SFS Recreation Area, NH | Featured Military Camping Facility

This week's featured camping facility is the New Boston Space Force Center Recreation Area in New Boston, NH! It should be noted that the Recreation Area has primitive camp sites and cabins. The campsites are generally suitable for a tent, small pop-up camper, Class B campervan, or small Class C motorhome. NBSFS is not suitable for large RVs, though, so if you have a larger RV, this campground won't be able to accommodate you.

There are a total of 12 sites, 6 which are at Joe English Pond and 6 at Ice Pond. Reservations are not taken for these sites. These sites are extremely primitive - portable toilets are available from mid-May until the end of September, and if you are camping outside of this period, campers must dispose of waste themselves using portable chemical toilets (no digging allowed on base), and there is no electricity available at the campsites and no potable water.

New Boston Space Force Station has 2 cabins inside of the recreation area that are next to Joe English Pond. They are available for rent by reservation from Memorial Day weekend through October. Cabin amenities include A/C, a shower/bathroom, pots/pans, coffee maker, stove, fridge/microwave, outdoor picnic table, fire-pit grill, and can sleep up to 5 people.

NBSFS Outdoor Rec operates a limited rental operation but you can rent kayaks/canoes, mountain bikes, coolers, camping items and party supplies.
