NSA Souda Bay, Greece | Featured Military Space-A Air Terminal of the Week

This week's featured Space-A Air terminal is Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, located on the Greek Island of Crete! Souda Bay is a regular stop of the Patriot Express flight out of Norfolk, VA every other week. The NSA Souda Bay installation is located and hosted on a Greek Air Force base and requires that base access be granted through the Visitor Control Center (VCC), so be sure to have your DoD ID/USID and proof of Space-A travel when arriving.


NSA Souda Bay has recent flights to Sigonella NAS, Italy, Ramstein AB in Germany, and one to McConnel AFB in Kansas.


Souda Bay is a beautiful and historic bay located in Crete, Greece. It offers a unique blend of military history, stunning natural scenery, and charming Greek culture. Here are some things to do and see when visiting Souda Bay:


  1. Explore the Souda Bay Naval Base: Take a guided tour of the naval base to learn about its rich history, see the old naval buildings, and get a glimpse of the current naval operations.

  2. Visit the Souda Bay Museum: This museum showcases the history of the naval base, the Greek War of Independence, and the role of Souda Bay in World War II.
