Let us introduce you to the newest FamCamp, Saguaro Skies, at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona!
This newly opened FamCamp features 61 paved full hook-up sites, 10 of which are slotted for long term, and 4 of which are ADA designated, with rates at $30/night. Each site can accommodate Class A, B and C motorhomes, motorhome conversions (van or bus), travel trailers, 5th wheel, trucks with slide-in campers, and pop-up trailers. You’ll find picnic tables and charcoal grills for your convenience, as charcoal and propane grilling is allowed within your site, but be advised no campfires are allowed.
The laundry facility is open 24/7, and is free of charge! Pets are welcome, as long as they are leashed and held by their owner at all times, not to be left unattended tied up/caged/fenced outside of your unit. There is a brand new restroom/shower facility for guests to use, and the guest lobby is open 24/7. You’ll find that the Exchange and Commissary, along with several other shops and a mini-mart are all within walking distance of the FamCamp.
Check in/out is at 1100, and office hours are 0800-1700 Sunday-Saturday. Guests can stay for 21 days, and depending on availability can sign up to stay another 21. Making reservations is very easy, with a quick phone call or email to the reservations line. A site-availability listing will be provided by 1715 daily to identify those guests who are scheduled to move into the park the next day.
Saguaro Skies is located in Glendale, which is a suburb of Phoenix. Being so close to the city, guests have a lot of local insights to check out! There’s the Phoenix State Capitol Building murals, the Desert Botanical Garden, historic Glendale, Pioneer Arizona Living History museum, the Phoenix Zoo, and several outdoor parks and activities.
