One of my favorite museums, military or otherwise.
A museum should tell a story. I love the way they reveal the history of Airborne and Special Operations. They bring you from the beginning up to the current day.
Experience D-Day through an augmented reality exhibit. You could see this now through June 18, 2022. It had archival maps. You were able to manipulate 3D virtual artifacts, archival films, and unpublished photos.
Two new exhibits are displayed though November 13, 2022. Courage and Compassion, the legacy of the Bielsky Brothers, who helped save more than 1,200 people during WW2. Or Operation HALYARD, a mission served to rescue two airmen from Nazi
The manikins are so life-like it makes you feel like you were there. You can move through this museum in half an hour with a quick overview, or you can spend hours and really dig in.
Conveniently, Fort Bragg is only a twenty minute drive to the museum.
