Brig. Gen. Pete Jones, deputy commanding general-support for 3rd Infantry Division, speaks to Gold Star Family Members before the departure of the 8th Annual Snowball Express Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. The Snowball Express is an all-expenses-paid charter flight to Dallas for more than 1,800 children and spouses of fallen U.S. military service members who lost their loved one since Sept. 11, 2001. I just checked with the CTRC/Air Dominance Center, and they no longer take Retirees, just Active Duty. Something about funding.
Hi Mr. Hunter – We contacted the lodging facility and you are correct. As of this writing, space-available lodging at the CTRC/Air Dominance Center no longer offers space-available lodging to retirees and dependents. Accommodations are limited to active-duty or reservists under orders. We’ve updated our lodging page accordingly for this lodging facility. Thanks for the tip!
